The Berlin School of Mines e.V. (BSM) has finally been founded (31st October 2007) and received its official recognition as a charitable institution (development association) by the German Taxation Office a few days later (9th November 2007). The statutes were accepted without changes.

We will now be able to issue official donation & fee receipts for the taxation office.

A huge thankyou to RoeverBroenner KG (see Partners section), who tremendously supported the BSM during its set-up phase and who shall continue to be an important advisor in the legal sector.

A large funding proposal has been lodged with an international aid foundation to obtain support for the start-up phase which, in turn, shall be used to initiate the first development aid courses abroad and generate a vigorous search for further funding. Via this latter funding, scholarship programs for courses in Germany shall be implemented.

The membership-fee for individuals is 10 (ten) Euros, the fee for corporate members shall be negotiated. All projects and expenditures totally rely on donations (big and small).

Call for Support

In order to fulfill our visions (and now also our obligations), we would like to ask for your kind support:

  • Individuals and corporate institutions, who want to directly support the BSM through their work, are invited to become members. Membership forms can be obtained in the downloads section;
  • Individuals and corporate institutions willing to make a financial contribution to our goals, are welcome to do this (they will become part of the general assembly of the development association);
  • If you have special expertise (individuals and affiliated members of public institutions or firms) in any field of our courses, we would be very much interested in hearing from you to discuss your contribution to our teaching.

Our growing network of experts, associated institutions, and companies will provide advice on raw materials-related issues.

Embassies from developing countries are particularly invited to contact us in order to develop strategies for obtaining scholarships from BSM and/or funding for co-operational projects in the frame of development aid.
